STUDENT CONDUCT

WELCOME TO GREENSCRUNCHY. this is a roleplay blog for gone-too-soon chrissy cunningham from season 4 of stranger things. i'm puck (25+ usa), puppeteer of this blog & a huge history & fantasy nerd who collects books like there's no tomorrow, regularly falling in love with doomed characters along the way.

FIRST THINGS FIRST: due to the extremely graphic & psychologically sensitive nature of stranger things and this blog, a hard age restriction is in play. interactions are limited to partners aged 18 & above only.from this point forward, if you follow me, i assume you are an 18+ legal adult who will have read the following rules and processed them in an adult way. if later you are somehow surprised by my content or attitude or source material, that's your skill issue.there is not and will never be any kind of AI images or writing on this blog. fuck ai "art".i'm a stranger things blog because this is a stranger things character. as original as i may get with lore and characterization, chrissy is not my original character.vehement rejection of the duffers' et all (gelman and schnapp in particular) violently zionist and anti-palestinian language is preferred. fuck matt and ross duffer. i've lost all patience with whatever they say about the show they supposedly masterminded.racism, maga rhetoric, sexism, nazism, white supremacist rhetoric, homophobia, fetishization of sexualities, xenophobia, antisemitism, islamophobia, anti-palestinian rhetoric, ableism, & pedophilia i do not want anywhere near me. don’t do that shit in my presence or out of it.now -- onto the more fun stuff.

TO PERSONAL BLOGS: thanks for stopping by! peruse my stuff at your leisure. i do ask that your interaction with my written media be limited to likes only. most other rpers have privacy concerns & do not want their roleplays to be reblogged or interacted with like normal media posts. please do me a solid & respect their wishes.

IN REGARDS TO ROLEPLAY: this blog is private & mutually exclusive so i can get to know my partners & i can keep track of my drafts. i am selective, so do not take it personally if i don’t follow back. i do review the blogs of everyone who follows me. please do not follow / unfollow / refollow in a bid for my attention.i am slow, because life and because i care very much about the quality of my threads / plots we may share now or in the future. there are no expiration dates here, at least on my end.

i’m always oc friendly provided you have an about/rules/history page for your creation, or are open to discussing your oc's story one on one so i can get an idea of how to write with your character. but gimme gimme gimme your ocs of all kinds, all the time.godmodding or powerplaying doesn't seem to be much of an issue lately, but try to avoid it within a roleplay unless we’ve discussed certain instances as plot points prior to writing. actions that progress the plot or move a conversation forward are absolutely fine, though, including pushing, shoving, pulling, etc. you get it.

approach me by way of meme, starter call, whisper in the wind, or keysmash in my ims. i'm suited to both plotting and cold opens for interaction. my formatting is flexible.shipping is based on chemistry, but i always welcome ideas. note that i don't autoship. you must talk to me first if you’re interested in a pre-established romantic dynamic. if you force ship, you're out. the rpc at large is past that, i hope. let's keep that energy going.

this may be a stranger things blog, you many know what kind of content you're walking into, but i need to say this anyway: THINGS ARE GOING TO GET EXPLICITY GORY. ahead is a plethora of supernatural horror & body horror, so in all things proceed with utmost caution. it's one of the reasons why i go hard on the age restriction. trauma isn't a joke, so don't traumatize yourself early. crabby as i may sound in these rules, it's not entirely out of self-interest. i want you to keep safe too.i tag everything but pull no punches when it comes to descriptions, especially considering chrissy's demise. nsfw content can & will appear, ranging from aforementioned graphic imagery to emotional trauma to sexual content, although i don’t anticipate a ton of the last. that tag will be simply #nsfw cw. for easy blacklisting. i will make every effort to tag your listed personal triggers but i am human & may forget. feel free to gently remind me if i've left something untagged. i myself have no triggers.

i’m not sold on the value of callout posts & i don’t plan on reblogging them. i am all for holding people accountable on a case by case basis. callouts have lately become a hallmark of petty squabbles between former friends & i have every intention of staying far, far away from them. unless it’s an issue months/years long with a wide scope, don't expect me to engage. anything i do will be done in private.any problematic behavior i'm referring to is in terms of ooc behavior. (see: list from the first section.) i know you're not your muse. i've known that since i started rping. i still do keep an eye out for any behavior that indicates bigotry or implicit bias. i don't want a mean and scary dash, but a loving & intelligent one. act accordingly.it's worth adding that anti behavior is so tiring to me. your blog is yours, so post what you want. just know that routine wank sends me packing. the sun doesn't need to shine out your ass, but be circumspect. even if we don't all end up as mutuals or friends, we can still work together to make this site function with a modicum of respect and human decency.and that's all, folks. consider your homework marked complete.

FINALLY: thank you so much for reading this absolute monstrosity. seriously. it means the world that you'd care enough to do so. i hope we can connect & plot all sorts of ways to make ourselves & our characters cry. now let's do this, friends!

CHRISSY CUNNINGHAM

DARLING, DEAREST, DEAD.

chrissy cunningham hasn't always been queen of hawkins high, but it was only a matter of time.cute as a button from birth, the little strawberry-blonde girl rarely spoke louder than a song on the radio. she practically floated, doll-like, from room to room in the taffeta skirts her mother made for her. little fairy-dust laughs made friends from strangers and it was rare to see chrissy truly alone. you must be so proud, some would tell her parents. and laura would always declare that they were. just the perfect daughter. i hope she always stays this way.yet, laura cunningham forgot one very important thing about raising little girls: they grow.few would ever know and laura would never tell, but for much of her own youth she'd battled for a model-like frame, the image of herself she carried in her mind never quite matching the mirror. years of striving for pageant stardom never left her. motherhood presented laura with the tantalizing, vicarious fantasy that was chrissy: a perfectly waif-like daughter that looked sweet as sugar without a single extra, unnecessary ounce on her dainty silhouette. perhaps the pageant circuit wasn’t chrissy’s cup of tea, but not to worry. there were plenty of other past-times that would give chrissy the chance to be the woman her mother hadn’t had time enough to be.chrissy’s appearance turned into a sick fixation. even sicker than she molds her own daughter to become. constant praise for chrissy’s beauty mixed poorly against admonishment to watch her figure. occasionally clothes were purchased on chrissy’s behalf a tad too small as if that might encourage her daughter to keep as trim as she could. laura’s frustration at the natural needs of a teenaged young woman expressed itself in harshly whispered words to stay mum and thinly veiled threats of repercussions should she fail to meet expectations, be it in figure or conduct.while pinned under laura’s determined management of almost everything in her life, chrissy suffers. she wakes up, goes to school, eats the rabbit food her mother curates that she calls “breakfast” and “lunch”, excels at cheerleading (one of her few escapes), becomes the arm candy of basketball star jason carver, goes to church on sunday and bible study on wednesday, wins over the student body with natural if privileged charisma, rarely spends her allowance, and suffers. all of it in silence, for no one could notice enough to ask the wrong questions. not even becoming the envy of every girl in school as head cheerleader her senior year can fully pry her from the echoing, dark abyss of her own head.this can’t be all there is. she should have everything she needs to be happy. this can’t be all, she swears to herself. but why does it feel like it is?

stranger things

the hawkins years — chrissy cunningham cheers, dances and quietly smiles her way through school, progressively learning to hide her inner turmoil and the pain of an otherwise idyllic-seeming home life under a veneer of girlish charm.

the upside downMAIN TIMELINE. chrissy wakes from nothingness to an earthquake of supernatural proportions.the upside down is falling apart as its venomous monarch is challenged by jane hopper, max mayfield, and a group of young adults all from hawkins. blows against vecna ring like thunderclaps over his mindscape as it's subsumed in flame and gunfire.everything is red, chrissy thinks, like the inside of her eyelids. but it’s red like vengeance and anger and he’s being slowly destroyed, piece by piece. strike by strike. a burst of heat washes up what had been a lifeless body only moments before. pain so intense it blinds her devours every muscle and scrap of skin that covers chrissy cunningham’s brittle skeleton. once more, the world goes black to the sound of gunshots.she opens her eyes on all fours staring at black earth. shades of sour blue and grey color everything that isn’t already pitch-rotten. grey dust (ash?) falls from the sky in every direction. she’s never seen red lightning before, but up until minutes prior she’d never died and come back to life. turns out there’s a first time for everything.from what she can tell, she’s outside the hawkins’ murder house – but a hawkins that couldn’t look more different than the town she grew up in. it’s a desolate hellscape covered in writhing growths and raining rot from a bruised sky.wherever this is, it’s not home, and there’s only one sentiment on loop in chrissy cunningham’s head as she looks across the snarling pit that spat her back to life: get. out.

broken puppet — ghostly wanderer of the upside down. can be extended to s5.

the resurrectionMAIN TIMELINE. against all odds, the cheerleader saves herself. fragmented gates weave through new valleys the former flat of hawkins, indiana currently boasts. it is from one of these that chrissy cunningham climbs, bruised, broken, but undeniably alive.the how of it all feels impossible to explain, but there's only one story chrissy knows how to tell. she awoke in a gasping haze of red. nothing of her surroundings seemed real save for the tightness in her lungs. somewhere, the monster that had chased her down was being pummeled by hungry flames and gunfire. by the next moment, the scarlet landscape is gone and she's sliding to the ground outside the hawkins murder house - or something that looks like it. after that, it's all downhill trying to find a way out. but she did.now the town she used to call home can't decide whether she's a miracle or a curse.main arcit takes two: chrissy isn’t alone in hell. eddie munson (hellmartyr) is alive. like her he’s in terrible shape, looking five minutes from falling apart completely. unlike her he wasn’t touched by the curse of vecna and remembers everything that happened after she fell victim to that curse, plus a wealth of other horrific yarns that rival stephen king. worst of all? he’s been accused of her murder.they pick their way out of the upside down together by the skin of their teeth. it’s a once-in-two-lifetimes experience that chrissy longs never to relive. when at last they breath real world air again, the first order of business is to call on wayne munson; chrissy has a few things to explain. when they arrive, the man is justifiably rattled by the sight of a dead girl and a chewed up nephew he was told died defending hawkins on his doorstep. it takes a few hours to convince him of the truth, but by the end there is some closure. and assurance: chrissy will do everything in her power to affirm eddie’s innocence.as good as it is to see eddie reunited with the uncle that adores him, there’s no ignoring the festering cuts, bruises and myriad other hidden wounds the two teenagers harbor. all roads lead to the hospital currently crawling in distressed citizens. chrissy announces her name to immediate disbelief, but everyone knows the face at her back: eddie munson, accused leader of the hellfire cult.understandably, the police are called in a panic, and they arrive with two questions: how could chrissy cunningham be alive, and if she was indeed, who did the cunninghams bury?the interrogation takes days. but before they were pried apart, the two teens had longer than that to decide on a story.in the weeks prior to her supposed murder, chrissy cunningham had come to the conclusion that she was being stalked. unable to discern who or why, the stress compounded to the point that she sought out notorious drug-slinging “freak” eddie munson. he had a reputation that could scare off her stalker, she thought, and after so much looking over her shoulder it was worth a try. her family and friends would hardly believe her story when there was no concrete proof.the night of march 21st churned out a horror even worse than she’d originally suspected. over the course of the evening, chrissy entered the munson trailer meaning to discuss a plan with eddie. he left her alone in the the living room for but a moment – the perfect opportunity for a terribly deformed man to snatch chrissy. eddie emerged to find her “body” lying prone on his floor. he’d been in the middle of turning the corpse over in a panic to try and revive her, just in time see her kidnapper’s getaway car rocketing away.eddie’s first instinct was to jump in his own vehicle and pursue chrissy without so much as a moment’s pause to call the police. no point when he could do something immediately without waiting for assistance.miraculously, he managed to catch up with the kidnappers and retrieve chrissy, but wasn’t quick enough to catch the perpetrator as well. by then the two teenagers were stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere, indiana days away from hawkins.

only after more days of dangerous travel did they manage to pick their way back home, along the way attacked by animals and scrambled by the earthquake almost to the point of death. that was why they’d turned up at the hospital how and when they had.eddie munson had saved her, not killed her. he was innocent.but what about the three other bodies?chief powell rakes through chrissy and eddie’s stories again and again, grafting in little details per the group of freshman huddled around a comatose max mayfield, eddie’s neighbor. to his amazement a common thread appears in all of their stories, save for fred’s: jason carver.insidious clues point to jason’s involvement in both chrissy’s attack and patrick’s murder. he was found next to max and lucas sinclair, both teens nearly in pieces at his hands. according to dustin henderson, max had witnessed two vehicles racing from the munson trailer, subsequently developing her theory that eddie was not the responsible party. when she later threatened to speak up, lucas at her back, jason beat them within an inch of their lives, max suffering the most severe injuries.for all the hawkins p.d. knows, fred benson could have stumbled upon something he shouldn’t have close to the munson trailer and paid the ultimate price for his curiosity.and for what began the terror in the first place, perhaps jealously drove jason to threaten chrissy via a hired criminal, framing eddie for murder after simply spending time with her. after all the entire town heard jason’s refusal to believe that chrissy would consider eddie trustworthy.the story starts to make sense and the cords of official suspicion around eddie loosen.none of this makes the next week any less hellish than the upside down. after round after round of questioning, chrissy is confined to her hospital room until doctors are certain her joints are functioning properly. release home gives her no freedom as her mother insists on at least another two weeks of recovery. ever the obliging daughter, chrissy does her best but eventually can no longer stand to be fed broth in her room. she packs her school bag again and marches out the door for what feels like the first time in a month.reuniting with eddie is bliss though she finds hawkins in a strange state of limbo. half the town feels guilty for incriminating eddie, half still clings to their initial suspicion. all of their enthusiastic, if befuddled, welcoming her back is tainted by the looks thrown eddie’s way. hawkins high school’s confusion compounds further when chrissy makes no effort to hide her new friendship with the “freak”.it’s going to be a long rest of the semester.longer, thanks to an extension. so many disasters have set both teachers and students behind and adding several weeks to the semester seems only fitting. with the eyes of hawkins bearing ever down on them and the promise of post-graduate summer crawling closer, eddie and chrissy hatch a plan to road trip around the northwest. their long awaited ramble across the graduation stage sets them loose from responsibility as they put home behind them and the world ahead.( open arc! )

stranger things cont.

the college years — summer is over. real life has to begin again, but this time in a different place. maybe it’s for the best. no, chrissy knows it’s for the best. she can discover health on her own terms (rocky, but necessary) and suss out her true calling. college may not be the best years of her youth, but they might just be the beginning of something else.main arcit takes two, continued: everything about parting hawkins seems wrong for one particular reason: eddie. they’d spent a summer side by side, laughing and hurting in equal measure. saying goodbye to him and the rest of her new hawkins friends feels like leaving behind a limb. there’s a new life waiting for her at uc berkeley, one that she’s been waiting on for too long, and she needs to go. she just wishes it didn’t hurt so much.the college experience becomes sweet in her little one bedroom apartment not far from campus. classes balance out the curve of learning to truly exist in her own body and feel something approaching comfortable. but calendar days fly by and it’s approaching a year to the date that she was taken by a nightmare made flesh. her skin begins to crawl. closing her eyes feels like a death sentence. she wonders how the encroaching anniversary is affecting eddie so far away in hawkins. no one else understands the horrors she went through like him, and she’s afraid of how their shared darkness will look when they’re apart.spring break wasn’t meant to be dreaded, but here she is, dreading it anyway.until eddie munson shows up on her doorstep with the same ghosts in his eyes. he’s a welcome surprise, a much needed breath of relief in the face of lingering, shared trauma. he stays for a week, and then….he stays. for good. she couldn’t possibly be happier.( open arc! )

the lip of apocalypsest season 5.option a: it takes far too long for chrissy's liking to recover from the injuries wrought by vecna and his upside down, but she manages. at school year's end her triumphant walk across the hawkins high graduation stage is more a shuffle than anything else. the important part is that she graduates at all despite her middling grades only just raised to a B+ average. but as soon as that's over, she and the rest of the graduating seniors are locked away from their college plans and all freedom beyond hawkins by the military occupation.option b: chrissy leaves hawkins as soon as she can scrape together funds and a plan following graduation. complete recovery from her ordeal is a finish line far in the future, yet she cannot find it within herself to care. even on the sunniest day she keeps thinking she's breathing in ash or something - someone - is stalking her from a point over her shoulder. there's nothing left in this little midwestern town for her, so the once cheerleader picks her way to california where the promise of college and something entirely different awaits.

the jaws of death (jurassic world) — digital media and photography major chrissy cunningham is far, far from home when the earth becomes overrun with dinosaurs. it’s her first year in college and a desperately needed escape from the prison her family home had become. but not even a private higher education can protect her from a changing world. and no fear of dinosaurs drives them away from her any more than the average human.in an effort to quell prehistoric nerves, chrissy applies for a semi-questionable internship at skywalker ranch during her junior year. an old youth rehab camp turned dinosaur preserve could be the perfect place to expose herself to what she fears.she gets, as they say, much more than she bargains for.

the ghost town (goblin by josh malerman) — star cheerleader and campus queen chrissy cunningham is the next in a long line of head goblin high school cheerleaders destined for town fame and the arm of the sports star. but all that glitters is not gold and she finds herself underwhelmed by the position. her boyfriend jason carver is an aggressively charismatic young man that has the school and town wrapped around his pinky finger. something about it never sat well with his girlfriend who was more or less shoehorned into dating him thanks to goblin “tradition”: head cheerleader dates the sports star and it’s a match made in heaven. it happens every year and couples are forged early in high school in order to experience the glories of senior year together. at least, that’s what chrissy’s mother says. the former star cheerleader married herself the sports star – but there’s too many cracks in that tradition for chrissy to ignore, not the least being her parents’ unhappy marriage.flavorless, cookie cutter life takes a turn when she encounters eddie munson (hellmartyr), the resident “freak” of goblin who prefers involved tabletop fantasy and alternative style to any of the rote offerings goblin boasts season after season. he’s different. unabashedly so. an eager if cautious friendship blooms between the unlikely pair and eddie is the first to discover that chrissy’s “relationship” isn’t all that it seems.the closer they get, the more they learn, and the more goblin appears to unravel around them.

the legend of lace (dungeons & dragons) — christina calanti, would-be traveling dancer, half-elf bard, college of glamour.

the maze runner (dead by daylight / survivor) — a monster tried to kill her. a monster from another realm tried to kill her by sucking her into a trance and bending her like a gumby doll. death would be a mercy, but it doesn't come so quickly. the shock of the experience puts her in a catatonic state that does not fade for weeks. her mind has locked her in a fog of waking nightmares where her body does not obey a single command.when she finally wakes, the only path she can focus on is a bid for freedom off the roof of hawkins' hospital. she tries only to find that her legs are twisted and useless. chrissy settles for pulling out every tube and wire keeping her alive and jamming the closest needle through her heartbeat instead. but what awaits her on the other side is not the sweet emptiness of oblivion, but the shadowed realm of a mysterious entity whose only goal is agony: not just for the survivors, but the killers it pits against them, too.the problem, it's me (dead by daylight / killer) — details tbd.

the allied powers (historical) — chrissy cunningham absconded what might have been a cushy life as a politician’s daughter to become a clubmobile girl overseas, a chance to escape disguised as support for the allied troops. her father, federal representative for indiana and occasional puppet mouthpiece for her mother, did his best but neglected to push back against the domineering tone of his wife's mothering. both of her parents see as many drawbacks as benefits in chrissy's choice, but at least it will take her out of her masters studies for a time.her intended, family friend and fellow political heir jason carver, is determinedly attempting to court chrissy despite her hesitation. joining the war effort is assumed, though not expected for him, and the benefits of nepotism grant him a high rank without any of the work. his deployment is a blessing in disguise for chrissy who sees a chance to finally do some of her own good, alone.the work of clubmobile girls is consuming but deeply gratifying despite the situation. surrounding her are other sparklingly brilliant women and girls who keep their chins up and smiles bright like their lives and the boys’ lives depend on it. for all she knows it might be true.it’s a life chrissy could grow to love apart from the conflict and before long, she does. and it’s a startling pleasure to reunite with several members of the solo family. ben (aniimvs), jaina (yunharlaquin), and anakin solo have been around chrissy since she was small, and all proven to be trustworthy and kind. chrissy fondly regards their mother (alderheir) as a woman as rich in quality as connections, and their father han (lionthought) a source of infinite sarcastic humour. the siblings, one beloved, cheerfully stalwart fellow clubmobile girl (donutdollie), a young woman and friend of the solos named rey (graysistance), and an air force mechanic (hellmartyr) who artfully finagles his way into chrissy’s heart are all lifelines among the shrapnel riddled realities of war.but not everything can stay sweet when the sky keeps filling with smoke. jason carver has been stationed at the same base as chrissy, sending her loyalties splintering in all directions. what is the proper thing to do when her heart leans one way and her stateside life another? worse, what changes when human lives are on the line?
